Punjab Cong MPs meet Shah over suspension of rail services

The Congress delegation, after meeting Mr Shah, said that rail services including good trains, is likely resume soon.

"After meeting Home Minister Amit Shah and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal today, we think train services on the affected route will resume soon”, the Congress MP Jasbir Singh said.

On November 6, lawmakers from Punjab had met Mr Goyal, where he assured them that Railways are ready to resume train services if the Captain Amarinder Singh-led government assured the safety and security of railway property and personnel and clears the tracks.

The Ferozepur Railway division suspended the operation of trains services following the farmers in Punjab called for three-day 'rail roko' agitation against the three farm bills under the banner of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee and later, different farmers' union joined their hands in this agitation.
