Odisha covid tally surpasses 3 lakh , toll rises to 1410

Bhubaneswar, Nov 07 (UNI) The Covid tally in Odisha today surpassed three lakh mark with 1372 people tested positive in the last 24 hours.

The Covid toll also crossed 1400 mark to reach 1410 with the death of seventeen more people in the past 24 hours from eleven districts in the state.

Health and Family Welfare department sources said 796 people from the quarantine centres tested covid positive during the last 24 hours while 576 local contact cases were also detected taking the total tally to 3,00,140.

Sources said only three of the 30 districts in the state reported more than one hundred covid positive cases in the past 24 hours.They are Khordha(145),Cuttack (121) and Nuapada ( 108 ).

Out of 17 new deaths reported in the state, three died in Khordha district followed by two each in Bargarh, Mayurbhanj, Sambalpur and Cuttack districts. One each died in rest six districts.

Khordha has the highest number of 245 deaths followed by Ganjam ( 231), Cuttack (118) and Puri ( 87) .

Sources said so far 2,85,174 covid patients in the state have already been cured and discharged from the hospital while 13,503 active cases are under treatment.
