So far, India has recorded 84,62,080 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 1,25,562 deaths. A total of 78,19,886 people have recuperated from COVID-19 so far. There are 5,16,632 active cases in the country as of date, which comprise 6.11 percent of the total caseload, the data stated. Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka have reported the highest number of cases. However, infections are rising rapidly in states like Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. Yet, India’s recovery rate continues to rise and now stands at 92.41 percent. 'Unlock 6.0' is underway. Globally, more than 4.92 crore people have been infected by the coronavirus and 12.41 lakh have died so far.

Telangana recorded 1,607 fresh coronavirus cases taking the tally to 2.48 lakh while six more deaths pushed the toll to 1,372. As many as 19,936 are under treatment and 44,644 samples were tested on November 6. Cumulatively, 45.75 lakh samples have been tested. The case fatality rate in the state was 0.55 percent, while it was 1.5 percent at the national level. The recovery rate in Telangana was 91.43 percent, while it was 92.4 percent in the country. (PTI)
