Sharjah, Nov 7 (UNI) Chamari Atapattu half century 67, skipper Harmanpreet 31 and 89 run partnerships between Chamari and Punia took Supernovas to challenging 146/6 in 20 overs against Trailblazers in a must win match of the Women's T20 Challenge at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, here on Saturday.

Chamari 67, Punia 30 and skipper Harmanpreet valuable 31 off 29 (1 four, 1 six) took the team to challenging 146.

Winning the toss Supernovas elected to bat first against Trailblazers.

Openers Priya Punia and Chamari Atapattu gave a perfect start for the team as duo forged 89 runs for the first wicket partnerships.

Both openers kept the scoreboard running slicing Trailblazers bowlers for boundaries and sixes, but it was Salma Khatun who gave breakthrough scalping wicket of Punia at 30 off 37 (3 fours) in 11.6 over.

Supernovas first wicket fell at 89. Chamari came with her fifty in 12.5 over smashing Deol for four.

After departure of Punia skipper Harmanpreet Kaur along with Chamari further took

the second wicket partnerships to 29 runs, but then Chamari's innings was cut short by Deol in 16.2 over.

Chamari quickfire 67 came in 48 balls which included 5 fours and 4 sixes. In the next over 3rd wicket fell in form of Jemimah Rodrigues at just 1 picked by Goswami.

In the last over Supernovas lost three wickets in form of Siriwardene run out at 2 and then skipper Harmanpreet for 31 off 29 (1 four, 1 six) and in last ball Anuja Patil was run out at 1.

Radha Yadav remained not out at 1.

For Trailblazers Goswami 1/17, Salma Khatun 1/25 and Deol 1/34 were the wicket-takers.
