Customs Department serves notice to KT Jaleel

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 7 (UNI) Kerala Higher Education Minister KT Jaleel has been served a notice by the Customs Department requesting him to appear before it's Kochi office for interrogation on Monday.
The notice was in connection with the collection of religious textbooks from the UAE Consulate here, violating the protocol. Earlier, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had questioned KT Jaleel in this regard.
The religious textbooks weighing 4,478 kg brought here through diplomatic channel were distributed in Malappuram and Bangalore.

Give PF pension in accordance to salary within six months: Kerala High Court

Kochi, Nov 07 (UNI) Kerala High Court on Saturday directed to pay Provident Fund pension in accordance with salary within six months as per the previous order.
A division bench comprising Justices A M Shefeeq and P Gopinath directed to implement the court order issued on October 12, 2018, after settling around 80 contempt of court cases questioning the non-implementation of the previous verdict.
