Call for ‘Delhi Chalo’ on Nov 26, 27

Doraha, November 5

The call for “Punjab Bandh against farm laws and Electricity Amendment Bill 2020 was observed today at Kohara, Samrala and Doraha. Apart from Bharti Kissan Union (Punjab), Jamhoori Kisan Union, Communist Party of India, Marxist Communist Party of India (United), All India Kisan Sangharash Coordination Committee (AIKSCC), Rampur Writers’ Association actively participated in the protest.

“Now is the time for all the farmers, workers, arhtiyas, shop keepers, small manufactures and the public as a whole to unite and speak up, otherwise it would be too late. ‘Delhi Chalo’ is our next move on November 26 and 27 to protest against the agri laws,” said general secretary of Bharti Kissan Union (Punjab) Harinder Singh.

“The Acts benefits big corporates. It would lead to exploitation of farmers, who would be reduced to labourers. We should not sit silently when our basic rights are being stifled in so cruel and unjust a manner?,” said women representatives, including former PUCSC president Kanupriya, Ramandeep Kaur, a campaigner of ‘Save Childhood Campaign’ Simranjit Kaur, who participated in the chakka jam at Ghulal village. — OC
