Maha Legislature's winter session meeting held in Nagpur

Nagpur, Nov 6 (UNI) Maharashtra Legislature’s officials and security staff on Friday held a meeting in Nagpur to take stock of the preparations for the ensuing winter session scheduled from December 7, said reliable sources.
According to the sources it was a preliminary meeting aimed at taking stock of the Covid-19 pandemic and regarding the conduct of the session. The preparation are on for the session amid Covid-19 pandemic.
The meeting was attended by legislature principal secretary Rajendra Bhagwat, security of Vidhan Bhavan Nagpur and officials from the legislature and health department.
When asked about media reports that there are apprehensions that the infection could increase in the city due to winter session and hence it would be held in Mumbai instead of Nagpur, sources said that no such decision has been taken so far.
The final decision about holding of the session would be taken by the Business Advisory Committee (BAC), the sources added
Traditionally , winter session of State Legislature is held in Nagpur.
