Sensation over video with purported 'Pakistan zindabad' slogan

Guwahati, Nov 6 (UNI) A video of AIUDF supporters purportedly shouting 'Pakistan zindabad'
at Silchar airport to welcome their party supremo and MP Maulana Badruddin Ajmal has created sensation in Assam.
While the ruling BJP grabbed the opportunity to condemn the AIUDF, Congress reacted with
more caution and the AIUDF rejected the allegation.
The video at Silchar airport yesterday shows AIUDF supporters welcoming their chief Ajmal
with flowers and raising slogans in his favour.
The AIUDF has maintained that the slogan under scrutiny is 'Aziz Khan zindabad'.
A leading fact-checking website, AltNews, has backed AIUDF's claim.
The BJP has refused to accept it and it's top leaders, including influential Assam Minister
Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and the party's national IT cell head Amit Malviya, have used
social media to condemn the AIUDF.
Congress leader Jitendra Singh, on the other hand, has maintained that no political party
in the country will use 'Pakistan zindabad' slogan and urged the BJP-led state government
to investigate the matter.
The Congress is exploring alliance with the AIUDF for next year's election in Assam to oust
BJP and its allies.
