UP: 52 police officers given promotion as Diwali gift

Lucknow, Nov 6 (UNI) A day after the Yogi Adityanath government announced Deepawali bonus to the state employees and reduced the Kisan Mandi Fee, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday announced to promote 52 State Police Service officers.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, the Chief Minister said the the officials will be promoted in various grade pays of Additional Superintendent of Police.


Among the officers, 21 have been promoted to the rank of Additional Superintendent of Police, Special Category-I, Grade Pay-8700, while another 21 have been designated as Additional Superintendent of Police, Special Category-I, Grade Pay-8900. The remaining 10 have been promoted to the Additional Superintendent of Police, Higher Grade-Pay 10000.

All railway tracks cleared for movement of goods trains: Punjab govt

Chandigarh, Nov 6 (UNI) After persuasion of Punjab Government the Kisan Unions have cleared all railway tracks to allow the movement of freight trains across Punjab. In this connection, all 21 locations, where farmers are protesting, have been cleared for the plying of goods trains.
