JAIPUR: More than 17.50 lakh candidates are likely to appear in the exam for the posts of 5,438 constables from November 6 to November 8. On Thursday, senior officers of Rajasthan police headquarters reviewed the situation.

ADG (recruitment) Govind Gupta reviewed the situation and asked various IGs and SPs to ensure proper vigilance during the exam to prevent cheating.

The exam will be held for three days in two timings — 9 am to 11 am and 3 pm to 5 pm. “There could be some problems for candidates appearing at various centres in Gujjar-dominated areas but they have been asked to use alternate means of transporation to be well on time. Every candidate is require to reach the examination centre two hours prior to the exam,” said a senior officer of the state police headquarters.

For many candidates in Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, Bharatpur and Dausa, the biggest challenge would be to reach the examination centres as RSRTC bus services have been withdrawn due to the Gujjar agitation.
