MP gets more urea from Centre

Bhopal, Nov 5 (UNI) Highlighting the fact that Madhya Pradesh received 6.09 lakh metric tonnes urea this year from the Centre as compared to 3.08 MT last year, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan emphasised on Thursday that timely supply should be ensured to cultivators, it was officially learnt.
The senior politician was reviewing related arrangements, at Mantralaya. As many as 4,800 sales centres are distributing carbamide through cooperative societies, marketing associations and Madhya Pradesh Agro. The cooperatives-private sector distribution ratio has been kept at 70:30. Point of sale machines are being utilised. Besides, the option of bio-metric scanner devices and mobile app has also been provided by New Delhi. Last year, maximum 17.98 lakh MT were used. Compared to that period, 27 per cent more urea has been distributed this time. The November allocation is 7.03 lakh MT, which includes an imported quantum of 4.73 lakh MT.

Farmers from Ambala dist block Ambala-Delhi & Ambala-Chandigarh highways

Ambala, Nov 5 (UNI) The farmers from Ambala district laid blockade on Ambala-Delhi and Ambala- Chandigarh highways in support of their demands on Thursday. The farmers under the banner of Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) gathered on the two national highways here and blocked the roads with tractor trailers which were parked across the roads. No vehicle was allowed to pass the roads that created great inconvenience to the people who had to catch the buses and other sources to reach their destination.

This bill was presented by Deputy CM on the floor of Vidhan Sabha on Thursday. After the bill was passed, Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala tweeted that today our promise to the lakhs of youth of Haryana has been fulfilled and now Haryanvi youth will have 75% jobs in private sector.
