One more death, 22 new cases

Amritsar: The district reported the death of a person due to the Covid-19 contagion, taking the toll to 461 on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as 73-year-old Amarjit Kaur, a resident of Meerakot village. The health authorities also reported 22 new positive cases, pushing the count of infections to 11,959. The new cases include 18 influenza-like illness (ILI) cases and four contacts of positive patients. Meanwhile, with the recovery of 18 patients, the recovery count has reached 11,222. Public grievance portal launched

Amritsar: The district administration on Wednesday unveiled www.connect.punjab. gov.in a new public grievance redressal portal. Deputy Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Khaira said all kinds of complaints could be lodged at the portal. He said people had been given one digital portal for resolving complaints to all government departments. TNS
