As only a few months are remaining for the next year’s Assembly polls in the state, Ministers are rushing to finish projects to concentrate on their core constituencies.

They are holding meetings at the Secretariat to bring in more specific projects for their constituencies too.
AIADMK Ministers OS Manian, SP Velumani, MR Vijayabhaskar and Nilofar Kafeel have conducted meetings in this week discussing their constituency specific projects.
State Handlooms Minister Manian is exploring the opportunity of setting up a textile hub in Nagapattinam and has asked the Co-optex and textile industry sources to come out with a project proposal. For Local Administration Minister SP Velumani provision of drinking water for the household in his constituency is the priority and the Tamil Nadu Water Supply
Board officials were instructed to speed up the drinking water project.
According to AIADMK headquarters sources, Health Minister C Vijaya Baskar is focussing on his Viralimalai constituency and is also keeping an eye on nearby Pudukkottai constituency. Similarly, AIADMK joint convenor R Vaithilingam is also active attending social and communal functions in the Delta region and is working with the party workers strengthening his base in Peravurani and Orathanadu Assembly constituencies.
With the lockdown norms easing and public organising religious and social functions, the AIADMK Ministers have also started attending these functions as a run-up to the poll campaign in their native districts.
While Minister Rajenthira Bhalaji is attending the festivals organised by Hindu temples in his native Virudhunagar district, Minister Sellur K Raju is attending functions organised by the minority leaders in mosques and churches. The Ministers have also commenced the grass root campaign.
