Stock market update: 22 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 157.75 points up at 12066.25 on Thursday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: ACC Ltd; Adani Gas; APL Apollo Tubes; Berger Paints; Godawari Power And Ispat; Jet Airways; Mastek Ltd; Orchid Pharma; PI Industries; SRF Ltd; Bafna Pharmaceuticals; Apollo Pipes.

Overall, 49 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 1 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.

In the Nifty 50 index, SBI, Tata Steel, UPL , BPCL and HCL Tech were among top gainers, while Hero MotoCorp, Titan Company , ONGC, Britannia Inds. and Kotak Bank were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 533.82 points up at 41149.96. Traders were seen piling up position in Diversified, Defence, Metals - Ferrous, Pesticides/Agro Chemicals and Tea / Coffee sectors, while selling were visible in Trading, Agro Processing, InvIT, Electric/Electronics and Petrochemicals sectors.
