Shah reviews security situation with CRPF in West Bengal’s Bankura

Bankura/New Delhi, Nov 5 (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday reviewed security situation in West Bengal's Bankura with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officials.

The Bankura district is one among three districts of West Bengal which are Maoist hit areas and the CRPF has been deployed there for internal security.

Recently, the Union Home Ministry has deployed additional companies of CRPF in the three Maoist-hit of districts of West Midnapore, Purulia and Bankura.



Currently, Mr Shah is on a two-day tour of the West Bengal and he reached Kolkata on Wednesday evening.

During his visit, he will also be meeting with the country’s premier border guarding force BSF officials as well and will review the situation of border areas at international border.
