BURLINGTON, Mass. (AP) _ Everbridge Inc. (EVBG) on Thursday reported a loss of $24.2 million in its third quarter.

The Burlington, Massachusetts-based company said it had a loss of 70 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, were 5 cents per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 11 cents per share.

The software developer posted revenue of $71.3 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $68.5 million.

For the current quarter ending in December, Everbridge expects its per-share earnings to range from 1 cent to 3 cents.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $72.3 million to $72.7 million for the fiscal fourth quarter.

Everbridge expects full-year results to range from a loss of 3 cents per share to a loss of 1 cent per share, with revenue ranging from $267.8 million to $268.2 million.

Everbridge shares have risen 51% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $117.98, a climb of 47% in the last 12 months.
