Himachal BJP chief Suresh Kashyap today lashed out at the Maharashtra Government for arresting Arnab Goswami, owner and Editor-in-Chief of Republic TV, and said it was a brazen attack on the freedom of press.
He said the action of the Maharashtra police had revived the bitter memories of the Emergency, adding that it was misuse of power and attack on the fourth pillar of democracy.
Earlier, the Maharashtra government had wreaked vengeance against actor Kangana Ranaut and demolished her office, he added. — TNS
