TMC employees to get Rs 15,500 as exgratia for Festival of Lights

Thane, Nov 4 (UNI) The employees of the Thane Municipal Corporation will receive a sum of Rs 15,000 each as an Exgratia bonus for the current year for the festival of lights, the civic corporation announced on Wednesday.

A decision to this effect was taken on Wednesday at a meeting between the civic administration and the office bearers of the corporation.
Those present include the city Mayor Naresh Mhaske and the civic commissioner Dr Vipin Sharma.

Dr Sharma said that the payment of the bonus will cost the civic corporation Rs 16 crore to its exchequer he said.

The civic corporation stated in an official release that the exgratia will be paid to as many as 7091, employees and officials on the permanent rolls, 262 employees on consolidated wages, 1047 in the education department and also 1850 in the civic transport department, the release said.
