Chennai: Tamil Nadu government is convening a discussion with parents, students and teaching staffs on November 9 at 10 in the morning, those unable to air their views can also write to the authorities.

Earlier, School Education Minister KA Sengottaiyan and Higher Education Minister Anbalagan had deliberated the same with Chief Minister.

Suggestions will be sought regarding the safety measures in place and classroom dynamics.

School principals were asked to be present for the discussion.

Following Central government's go ahead to re-open educational institutions, many states have implemented a staggered reopening process.

TN on October 31 had said schools will be reopened for students from classes 9 to 12 along with colleges from October 16.
