Cera Sanitaryware production partially affected still amid unrest at Mehsana facility

The company’s management is in process of resolving the issue and expecting to restore normalcy in near future.

Cera Sanitaryware Limited informed the exchanges Tuesday that production at sanitaryware unit continues to be partially affected due to unrest at its Mehsana facility.

“Due to continued agitation of some workers of the Production department, Sanitaryware unit continued to be affected partially, whereas production of Faucetware unit is not affected materially.

The company has a diversified network of contract manufacturing at different locations and the policy of management of having an optimum level of inventory has ensured continuous supply of most of the products as per requirement. Management is in process of resolving the issue and expecting to restore normalcy in near future,” the company said.

The company had informed on September 30, 2020, that group of workers remained themselves absent from their regular duties, protesting disciplinary action against few workers. It further had informed that strike has been prohibited by Government of Gujarat by their notification dated October 16, 2020, and we expect the normalcy to return within a few days.

At around 10.50 am, Cera Sanitaryware Ltd was trading at Rs2,681 per piece down by Rs18.9 or 0.7% from its previous closing of Rs2,699.90 per piece on the BSE.
