Himachal records 11 deaths, 433 new cases

Shimla, Nov 4 UNI) As many as 11 persons succumbed to the novel coronavirus in Himachal Pradesh in last 24 hours, while 433 new pandemic cases registered in the state on Wednesday, a Health department official said.
According to the official, 105 pandemic cases were reported in Shimla, followed by 76 in Mandi, 48 in Kangra, 46 in Kinnuar, 33 in Kullu, 25 in Sirmaur, 21 in Bilaspur,20 in Hamirpur, 19 in Bilaspur, 18 in Chamba
17 in Solan and five in Una.
Notably, total Covid deaths rose to 349 in the state. Among the fresh fatalities, four deaths recorded in Shimla, followed by three in Kangra, two in Kullu, and one each in Mandi and Kinnuar.
Now toll increased to 75 in Shimla, 73 in Kangra , 37 in Solan, 44 in Mandi, 32 in Kullu, 18 in Sirmuar, 16 in Chamba , 15 each in Una and Hamipur eight in Bilaspur, seven in Kinnaur and one in Lahaul Spiti.
The tally went up to 23365 in the state and active cases increased to 3431. Recoveries also rose to 19554 while 25 persons migrated to other states.

Flexi Plan for power supply in MP

Bhopal, Nov 4 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan averred on Wednesday that a Flexi Plan will be implemented with a view to supplying adequate electricity for irrigation.
“The strategy will also daily save approximately 1,500 MW worth about a crore. At present, our cultivator brethren are being provided power for watering farms in the day and night. In rabi, it is rather uphill to irrigate fields owing to wintry weather so the hours of supply during the day should be enhanced,” the senior politician was officially quoted as saying while chairing an Energy Department meeting at Mantralaya.

Bhopal, Nov 4 (UNI) Reiterating that achieving self-reliance for Madhya Pradesh is his dispensation’s foremost priority, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan averred on Wednesday that timebound implementation will be ensured so that the golden goal is attained by 2023.
“Each department should commence working from this day itself in that direction,” the senior politician was officially quoted as saying while in discussion with department heads via videoconferencing at Mantralaya.

Rural drinking water and sanitation committees to be constituted in all gram panchayats: CS

Shimla, Nov 4(UNI) In order to ensure quality drinking water in the state, rural drinking water and sanitation committees are being constituted in all gram panchayats of the state according to the guidelines of the Jal Jeevan Mission. A total of 47 laboratories have been set up to ensure the availability of clean drinking water in the state and it would also be ensured that all district level laboratories are accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Laboratories (NABL).
