MUMBAI: The process for medical admissions in the state is likely to start from November 6. The state’s CET cell will release the schedule on Wednesday.
However, a decision on implementation of the Maratha quota is still awaited. Director TP Lahane, Directorate of Medical Education and Research, said the information brochure was awaiting approval from the state. It will soon be uploaded and a detailed schedule will be released on Wednesday, he said. This year, students will be asked to upload all documents which will be verified at college-level.
As per the Centre’s schedule for medical admissions released last week, the first round of admissions should conclude on November 18. Parents are worried some steps in the process will be skipped to meet the deadline.
Meanwhile, the CET cell scheduled the additional session of MHT-CET on November 7 for students whose exams were disrupted or could not be held owing to the power outage in early October.
