Kashi Hindu University (BHU) based in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh has claimed 19 of its scientists to be included in the list of top two percent of the world's top scientists. BHU Public Relations Officer Dr. Rajesh Singh said on Wednesday that globally reputed scientists here have once again reached the university's reputation to a new peak.
He said that he has given this information by quoting a study done by the Stanford University of America. He said that the study has recently been published in the internationally renowned research paper 'Ploos Biology'. Names of the world's top 100,000 scientists in various fields have been included in this study. Along with this, a list of the top two percent of scientists in various disciplines has also been prepared.
Expressing happiness over the participation of 19 scientists from this university founded by Bharat Ratna Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, Dr. Singh said that it is a matter of pride for everyone to have a list of two top percent scientists of the world in various disciplines.
He said that this university is one of those selected universities in the country which has helped such a large number of scientists get a place in this prestigious list.
