Kangana Ranaut has been sharing her weight management stories on her social media pages. The actor had gained about 20 kgs for her role in Thalaivi wherein she plays the role of J. Jayalalithaa. In these seven months, Kangana shed the extra kilos she gained for her upcoming films Dhakkad and Tejas. On Wednesday, the National Award-winning actor posted a few throwback photos and a still from Thalaivi while sharing about being the 'first superhuman girl on the Indian screen'.
Kangana wrote, "I played the first superhuman girl on Indian screen, thanks to my body a rare combination of dainty yet strong-looking, in my 30s I had to gain 20 kgs for Thalaivi n do Bharatnatyam, it left my back severely damaged but no bigger gratification than to play a role to perfection."
In her next tweet, Ms Ranaut posted a photo of stretching her leg effortless showing her perfect body. Kangana tweeted, "Journey back to my fit body wasn’t easy, I feel good but even in seven months not able to achieve my earlier stamina and agility back and those last five kgs aren't budging, there are moments of despair and then my director Vijay sir shows me Thalaivi footage and all seems fine."
Talking about Thalaivi, the film is directed by AL Vijay and Kangana had flown down South for a schedule in Hyderabad. The actor also trained in Bharatnatyam and a still from the film went instantly viral on the Internet.
The release date of Thalaivi is yet to be announced.
