Nagaland detects 56 new COVID-19 positive cases

Kohima, Nov 04 (UNI) In Nagaland, 56 new COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today, after which the overall tally rose up to 9207.

Nagaland Principal Secretary for Home Abhijit Sinha in a release informed that of the new 56 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today; out of them 27 cases in Dimapur, 24 cases in Kohima, two cases in Mon, two cases in Tuensang and one case in Phek.
There are total 148 positive patients have recovered, out of them 134 patients in Dimapur, 12 patients in Kohima, one patient in Mokokchung and one patient in Mon, he said.

Out of the 9,207 positive cases, the total recoveries so far are 7,934.
The active cases are 1,143 and there have been 38 deaths.
As per the severity of symptoms 1,091 active cases are asymptomatic, 34 active cases are mild, 8 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 6 active cases are severe on oxygen, and 4 active cases are on ventilator.

Further, out of 9,207 positive cases, the distributions across various categories of people are: 3,977 cases of Armed Forces and Police, 1,664 cases of Returnees, 3,120 cases of Traced Contacts and 446 cases of Front-line Workers, he informed.
A total of 63,055 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 61,850 samples have been received. In addition, a total 33,973 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 33,945 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test 4,207 samples have been tested, Sinha informed.
