Congress slams BJP over selective outrage on arrest of TV channel editor

New Delhi, Nov 4 (UNI) Congress on Wednesday slammed BJP for what they called selective outrage over the arrest of Republic TV Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami and said the law will take its own course.

Addressing the media, Congress spokesperson Supriya Srinetra said she was actually very shocked with the "selective outrage" of the BJP and asked why they were silent when many journalists were attacked in various part of the country.

She said that she understands journalism and the kind of journalism, the arrested TV editor was doing is shameful and has been trying to run BJP's agenda through journalism.

The spokesperson also said that these editors have made a mockery of journalism. It is a sad situation that they invite some people in their studios and makes false allegations as well as imposing an agenda in their show.

Prasar Bharati signs MoU with Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-Informatics

New Delhi, Nov 4 (UNI) In a landmark step, India's public broadcaster Prasar Bharati entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-Informatics, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology on Wednesday.
Under the ambit of this MoU, 51 DTH education TV channels comprising of Swaymprabha (22 channels) (M/o Education), e-Vidya for classes 1 to 12 (12 channels) of NCERT, Vande Gujarat (Govt of Gujarat) (16 channels) and DigiShala under M/o Electronics and IT (1 channel) will be available as DD co-branded channels to all DD FreeDish viewers, the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting said in a statement here.
