Chinese fireworks banned in MP; law against love jihad

Bhopal, Nov 4 (UNI) Sale and use of Chinese firecrackers stand prohibited in Madhya Pradesh and violation will attract action under the Explosives Act, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan underlined on Wednesday while appealing to the populace to purchase local products under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan.
“Buy earthen lamps during Diwali in order to benefit local potters,” the senior politician was officially quoted as saying.

The veteran leader emphasised that love jihad and conversion for marriage is unacceptable and separate legislation shall be drafted against that evil.

“Uncompromising action should be initiated and regular follow-up executed against criminal elements especially those targeting our daughters. Unauthorised mining and transportation of sand and other minerals must be stopped. At the same time, unalloyed protection ought to be provided to licensed contractors. Measures should be taken against fraudulent chit fund companies. Illicit liquor must not be brewed or sold anywhere, the Ujjain tragedy ought not to recur,” he averred during a meeting.

Bhopal, Nov 4 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Finance Department has issued orders in compliance with Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s announcement vis-à-vis providing special relief to government employees, it was officially learnt on Wednesday.
Amounts of Rs 10,000 each will be extended between November and March 31, 2021 – to those drawing a salary of Rs 40,000 or less – under the Special Festival Advance Scheme.

Himachal records 11 deaths, 433 new cases

Shimla, Nov 4 UNI) As many as 11 persons succumbed to the novel coronavirus in Himachal Pradesh in last 24 hours, while 433 new pandemic cases registered in the state on Wednesday, a Health department official said.

Flexi Plan for power supply in MP

Bhopal, Nov 4 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan averred on Wednesday that a Flexi Plan will be implemented with a view to supplying adequate electricity for irrigation.
“The strategy will also daily save approximately 1,500 MW worth about a crore. At present, our cultivator brethren are being provided power for watering farms in the day and night. In rabi, it is rather uphill to irrigate fields owing to wintry weather so the hours of supply during the day should be enhanced,” the senior politician was officially quoted as saying while chairing an Energy Department meeting at Mantralaya.
