Stock market update: SmallCap stocks mixed; Care Rating skyrockets 20%

NEW DELHI: SmallCap stocks were trading on a mixed note at 02:22PM (IST) on Wednesday.

Shares of Care Rating (up 19.99 per cent), PC Jeweller (up 8.88 per cent), Bhansali Engineering Polymers (up 8.11 per cent), Kiri Industries (up 7.01 per cent) and FCL (up 6.69 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Career Point (down 6.11 per cent), Mirza International (down 5.53 per cent), Alembic (down 4.99 per cent), Tanla Platforms (down 4.99 per cent) and Suzlon Energy (down 4.78 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.22 per cent up at 14866.38 around 02:22PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 67.90 points at 11881.4, while the BSE Sensex was up 256.61 points at 40517.74.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 23 were in the red.

Shares of Adani Ports SEZ, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors and BHEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Navin Fluorine, APL Apollo Tube, Adani Gas Ltd., PI Industries and Berger Paints hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Panth Infinity Ltd., A & M Febcon Ltd., Mehai Technology Ltd., Saffron Industries Ltd., Tranway Technologies Ltd., Colorchips New Media Ltd., Vikas Proppant & Granite Ltd., Pazel International Ltd., Real Touch Finance Ltd. and Ishaan Infrastructures & Shelters Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
