The Chhattisgarh High Court has re-examined three questions of the State Public Service Commission Preliminary Examination in 2020 and issued a new merit list within two months and only after that the main examination is conducted.


Advocates of the petitioners Rohit Sharma said that about 95 candidates including Udayan Dubey, Rakesh Yadav, Ajit Mishra, and Jyoti Soni filed petitions in the High Court in more than 24 petitions on the 12 questions asked in the PSC Preliminary Examination held in February 2020. Was. The petition stated that the answers to the 12 questions asked in the PSC preliminary exam were correct as per the model answer but they were declared incorrect in the revised model answer released later, which made them ineligible to appear in the main exam.

Sharma said that after hearing both the sides in the matter, the High Court had on October 8 last month stayed the main examination to be held on October 18 keeping in view the interests of the petitioners. At the same time, after the completion of the hearing, the decision was reserved on October 14.

He said that while issuing the judgment on Tuesday, a single bench of Justice Gautam Bhaduri in the High Court ordered the PSC to re-examine the question numbers 2, 76, and 99 and issue a fresh merit list within two months.
