US Election results 2020: US President Donald Trump seeks to overcome his Democratic rival Joe Biden's lead in opinion polls.
US Presidential Election results 2020: The election result day is finally here. Even as ballots continued to be counted, US President alleged "fraud” in the presidential election, and declared himself the winner, without results to back up the claims. Trump said: “We were getting ready to win this election. Frankly, we did win this election.” The President called the process of counting mail-in ballots a fraud and alleged that the Democratic Party was trying to steal the election. He pledged to fight the results of the election in the Supreme Court.“ We will be going to the US supreme court. We want all voting to stop,” Trump said.

Earlier, Democratic presidential candidate delivered his brief remarks to an enthusiastic crowd of supporters in Delaware. Biden said he felt confident about winning Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, arguing that "it ain't over until every vote is counted, until every ballot is counted."

So far, US President is ahead in Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia. has taken leads in California, Maine, Washington, Illinois, Connecticut, Vermont, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware and Virginia.

From the states that have been called by the US media so far, Biden has secured 238 electoral votes, while Trump has won 213. A candidate needs to win 270 electoral votes to capture the US presidency.

However, the mail-in ballots could take days or weeks to be counted in some states – meaning a final winner might not be declared today, unless a candidate bags a landslide victory..
