Nagpur: Dr Sanjay Zodpey, an epidemiologist and physician from city, features in the prestigious World Rankings of Top 2% scientists in India. He has been ranked No. 403 worldwide in the field of Tropical Medicine.

“A team led by Dr John PA Ioannidis from Stanford University (California) conducted this analysis of worldwide-ranking of scientists in all science fields. The updated science-wide author database is published in the journal Public Library of Science (PLoS) Biology, in October," Dr Zodpey told TOI.
The team prepared a database of 1 lakh top scientists of the world. These scientists are from all scientific fields based on their ranking of a composite indicator that considers six citation metrics to measure impact of research publications. These scientists have been classified into 22 scientific fields and 176 sub fields.
