GSFC reported fall of 12.29% in top line sales for the Sep-20 quarter at Rs2,110.93cr. The sales dipped briefly in the Jun-20 quarter but that has recovered on the back of robust Kharif demand in the latest quarter.
The operating profits for the quarter ended Sep-20 was more than 3-fold higher on a yoy basis at Rs163.29cr due sharp reduction in other expenses in the income statement. The net profits for the Sep-20 quarter were higher by 177% at Rs172.75cr.
This had an overall impact on the margins of GSFC. For the Sep-20 quarter, the operating profit margins or OPM was up more than 3-fold at 7.74%. Similarly, the net profit margins or NPM also expanded over 3-fold at 8.18% due to a much lower base of sales this quarter.
