117 more test positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal; death toll mounts to 38

Itanagar, Nov 3 (UNI) As many as 117 more people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh, taking the tally to 14,998, while the fatalities toll rose to 38 following the death of a 72-year-old man.

According to the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services (DHS), out of the new cases of infections, 34 were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex (ICC), East Siang 16 and Lower Subansiri 12.

Nine cases were also reported from Lower Dibang Valley (LDV), seven from Changlang, six from Tawang, five each from Pakke Kessang and Kurung Kumey, four each from Upper Siang, West Kameng and Leparada, three from Upper Subansiri, two each from Tirap and Namsai, one each from Lohit, Anjaw, Papum Pare and West Siang, it said.

As per the bulletin issued by the DHS last night, a 72-year-old man expired early Monday morning at DHC-Pasighat. He was referred from DCHC-Aalo, West Siang district and admitted at DHC-Pasighat on October 29 last. He died due to chronic bronchitis and old age with Covid-19 infection.

On a positive note, 165 more patients were discharged, taking the total recoveries to 13,238.

Total active cases in the state stand at 1722.
