The central government has planned to empower one lakh women from rural areas in the digital sector. In the next ten months, these women will be imparted 70 hours of training in subjects like digital literacy, employment connectivity, nano entrepreneurship, and communication skills. It will give priority to women whose jobs have been affected due to Kovid-19.
According to the Central Skill Development Ministry official, the disadvantaged women will be linked to this training program. This training will be done by Microsoft. A curriculum based on digital literacy has also been prepared for this. At the same time, Anant Maheshwari, President of Microsoft India, says that due to Kovid-19, digital transformation has gained momentum in India. This training will be very effective in empowering the women of rural areas financially and it will help in unlocking the country in the next phase.
Better medium to connect with employment
Giving the information, Manish Kumar, MD, CEO of National Skill Development Corporation, said that E Skill India and Microsoft will work to increase the opportunities for disadvantaged women, who perform well in technical skills and knowledge.
