COVID-19: Delhi records 4,001 cases in 24 hrs

New Delhi, Nov 2 (UNI) The national capital on Monday registered a single day spike of 4,001 fresh Coronavirus infections, taking the overall case tally to 3,96,371.
According to the Delhi state health bulletin, 42 people lost their lives during the past 24 hours, mounting the death toll to 6,604.
Active case load on the city were today reduced by 865 and presently the city houses 33,308 such cases.
Talking of recoveries in the city, there were 4,824 cured/discharged cases in the past 24 hours, pushing the total recoveries till date to 3,56,459 the health bulletin added.
The recovery rate was recorded at 89.93 per cent, the government data added.
Currently, there are 21,364 COVID patients under home isolation across the city, who are mostly asymptomatic or the ones with very mild symptoms.
Presently there are 3416 containment zones across the city as on date.
