Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the nation in condemning the Vienna attacks even as the Austrian embassy here closed down till November 11 due to security reasons.
“Deeply shocked and saddened by the dastardly terror attacks in Vienna. India stands with Austria during this tragic time. My thoughts are with the victims and their families,”said PM Modi in a social media post. He had also commensurate with the French people after the Nice church attacks as well.
Meanwhile, the Indian embassy in Austria has assured the Indian community that it is in touch with the local authorities in Vienna and has asked them to exercise caution.
The Austrian embassy said it has closed down for physical interaction but will keep dealing with queries and other official matters by e-mail and on phone.
