New Delhi: In this time of coronavirus, people look for various ways to boost their immunity in order to get protection from COVID-19. And people of Ranchi have taken this matter seriously. City dwellers are thronging a sweet shop which offers immunity-boosting rasgullas.

According to local confectioner Kamal Aggarwal, the rasgullas that he prepares are good for immunity. These rasgullas have become a big hit after customers purchased it for upcoming festivals of Diwali, Bhai Dooj and Chhath.

According to Aggarwal, these rasgulla are made up of ingredients that are known to help increase immunity. He says he uses bitter gourd, green chilli, garlic, turmeric to make the rasgullas.

Bharat Kumar, an AYUSH doctor with government of Jharkhand, said that the ingredients used in the making of the rasgulla contain vitamins and nutrients which can boost immunity.

Aggarwal’s sweet-making business came to a standstill after the Centre announced lockdown in March this year. However, Aggarwal decided to prepare these immunity-boosting rasgullas to boost his business after the unlock guidelines were announced.

These sweets have become a big hit in this time of festivals. Since Durga Puja, his business has started doing well after large number of people started thronging his shop for the sweets.

Apart from selling at the shop, he also has home-delivery system to drop sweets packets at your door step.

The rasgullas are also available in various interesting variants such as haldi, green chilly, tulsi, dhania, pudina, elaichi, karela, chyawanprash, orange, pineapple, strawberry, kiwi, lemon, rose, amla, chocolate, khajoor, moranga (moonga), gilloy, beetroot and so on.
