SC refuses to extend security of former judge who delivered Babri verdict

SC refuses to extend security of former judge who delivered  Babri verdict

New Delhi, Nov 2 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Monday declined to extend the security cover for former special CBI judge SK Yadav, who had recently acquitted all the accused, including top senior BJP leaders, in Babri Masjid demolition case.

My Yadav, who had retired after delivering the verdict of acquittal in Babri Masjid demolition case, has asked for continuing his personal security in view of the sensitivity of his last case.

A bench, headed by Justice Rohinto Fali Nariman, passed the order and refused to extend the security to Special CBI Judge (Retired now) Yadav.

The Supreme Court was taking up his case, as Judge Yadav was seeking extension of his security cover.

The Top court, however, refused to extend his security cover, he was availing till his retirement, in September 30, 2020.

Special CBI Judge, Yadav, had recently acquitted all the accused, including Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders: including Murali Manohar Joshi, Lal Krishna Advani, Uma Bharti, Vijay Katiyar and many more leaders for their involvement in the Babri Masjid demolition case.
