New Delhi, Nov 2 (UNI) The Railway Board on Monday said the Statue of Sardar Vallabhai Patel at Kevadia, known as the Statue of Unity, on the bank of Narmada river, will be linked by train by December 31.
According to Railway Board Chairman VK Yadav, the rail link between Kevadia to Dabhoi will be completed by next month. The 18-km-long gauge conversion work between Dabhoi and Chandod has to be completed, whereas the 32-km-long section between Chandod to Kevadia work is in the last phase of work.
The Railway Board Chairman further said that after completion of Dabhoi-Kevadia section, new trains from Vadadora will chug off and tourists will be able to visit the Statue of Unity and nearby tourist places.
