Ludhiana: The health department authorities said 18 persons tested positive for dengue on Sunday.
Civil surgeon Dr Rajesh Kumar said, “The total number of dengue cases in the district so far has now increased to 1,145. The total number of suspected patients is 1,643.”
To contain the disease, people should check stagnant water in coolers, containers, pots, tyres, on the roofs of houses, among others. Wear clothes that cover the body completely and use mosquito repellent, he said.
