With this win Delhi climbed one spot on the points table and secured a played off berth. Meanwhile, RCB too progress to the next stage, courtesy to their net run-rate.
Delhi Capitals kept things tight right from the word go as they restricted RCB to a moderate 152/7 in 20 overs. In response, Delhi lost Prithvi Shaw early but superb knocks from Dhawan and Rahane made sure the Shreyas Iyer-led unit finish the contest on a solid note.
