Fire breaks out at insurance firm office

A fire broke out in an insurance firm office located on the second floor of the building in the Feroze Gandhi market on Sunday afternoon. No major loss was reported in the incident. The entire market was closed due to which fire personnel were able to control the fire in a short time.

Fire officials said a call regarding the fire incident was received at 2.20 pm following which three fire tenders rushed to the spot.

They said the office was lying closed but a guard, who saw smoke coming from the office, informed the fire station. Furniture, some electronic equipment and office files were gutted in the fire.
