Krasnodar International Airport is considering equipping a new airport terminal currently under construction with robotic manipulators presented by a team of students from Don State Technical University. The new technology will help automate the luggage picking and loading process; minimise human error, luggage loss and damage; and reduce the time required to load and unload aircraft.
The robot was developed at the Robofest, the largest technology festival for young people in Europe and one of the biggest in the world, organised by Volnoe Delo charity foundation. It brings together participants aged 6 to 26 who present their scientific and technological achievements. This year Robofest is being held online for the first time.
