Doctors of the Indian Army, who have remained steadfast even in temperatures that have reached below the point of deposition in front of the Chinese Army on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh, have achieved a unique success. In this area, which is very difficult for a normal life, the army doctors have done the successful surgery of a jawan at the height of 16 thousand feet and got rid of the problem of the appendix.

The surgery was carried out by a team of three doctors including a lieutenant colonel, a major, and a captain at the Army's Forward Surgery Center. Leh lan was attempted after this jawan had an appendix problem, but due to inclement weather, it was decided to have emergency surgery locally after attempts to airlift him by helicopter failed.

Confirming this, Army sources said, the field hospital's surgical team performed emergency surgery on October 28 to remove the appendix in the harsh and cold conditions of 16,000 feet. He said that despite many problems faced by the doctors, the surgery has been completely successful and the patient's condition is now stable.

Sources said this is one of the few successful surgeries performed by army doctors in the forward area. The field hospitals of the Indian Army are fully operational. These hospitals are providing special treatment to the Indian soldiers deployed in the environment prevailing on LAC due to the extreme cold.
