NEW DELHI: Two persons were killed while three others injured after their car was hit by a speeding truck in southwest Delhi’s Dhaula Kuan early on Sunday.
The truck driver fled the spot. Police have filed an FIR and are looking for him.
Five people who lived in the same building, including three women, were going for a late night dinner when the truck took a sharp left and rammed into the car, crushing it completely.
Police could extricate the five occupants of the car after around 20-minute efforts. They were rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre, where two were declared dead on arrival. The deceased have been identified as Amit and Kapil Dev. The women are admitted in a hospital and their condition is stated to be serious.
