New Delhi: In yet another surprising incident, a man from Bihar’s Bhagalpur has installed a Mahindra Scorpio shaped water tank on his terrace as a bid to pay tribute to his first owned car. The picture of the car-shaped water tank has not only gone viral over the internet, but it has also managed to gain appreciation from Mahindra Group’s Chairman Anand Mahindra himself.
Taking to Twitter, Anand Mahindra wrote, “Now that’s what I call a Rise story… Scorpio Rising to the Rooftop. 😊 My salaams & appreciation to the owner. We salute his affection for his first car!”
On Sunday, he followed it up by sharing a picture of the man’s rooftop tank and tweeted, “This pic gives a clearer view of his inspiring water tank. From now on, the brand journey of any of our products will not be complete unless at least one customer bases her/his water tank design on it!”
The man, Intasar Alam, specially hired workers from Agra to work on the construction of this water tank which now stands tall on top of his four-storeyed building. As per reports, Alam got the inspiration after his wife went on a trip to Agra in Uttar Pradesh and saw a similar model of water tank.
And, after she came back and told Alam about the design of the water tank, he did not need much convincing. He immediately sprang into action and brought over workers from Agra to create his iconic water tank.
According to a News18 report, Alam has revealed that the entire project costed him an amount of Rs 2.5 lakh and the masons were paid Rs 1,200 as daily wage. The Scorpio water tank not only resembles the shape of Alam’s first SUV, it also carries the same number plate with BR 10 786 written on it.
Alam’s water tank has flooded all over the internet, let’s have a look at how social media users reacted to it.

Love for a car unseen so far. This also indicates how customer friendly this car would have been. Anand ji, a real work done by you and your dedicated people.

Ok by looking at the pic, I legit thought that Scorpio was somehow parked on top of the building. Amazing!
