Who’s behind felling of Ravan?

Gurdaspur: On Dasehra, the effigy of Ravan fell on three-time former Batala MLA Ashwani Sekhri as soon as he set it on fire. In what can be dismissed as “an act of God”, the Batala cops have launched a probe into the incident after Sekhri’s kin alleged it to be an act of “criminal conspiracy to injure their relative”. People are having a laugh in light of the extent to which politicians can go just to stay in limelight. “Even Sekhri acknowledged that the mishap happened by default and not by design. However, a local satrap approached the police in the hope of getting attention. Tasked with identifying the culprits, the DSP is having a hard time and who knows she might just end up pinning the blame on the Ravan itself, citing that the effigy collapsed under its own weight.
