Coronavirus India Updates: Tally Nears 82 Lakh; Daily Deaths Dip Below 500 Again

India’s coronavirus outbreak showed signs of slowing down as the country reported less than 50,000 daily cases for a week. The daily death toll too fell to a near four-month-low.

India added over 46,963 new cases in a matter of 24 hours, taking the total tally to 81.8 lakh in the world’s second-worst infected country, according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on Nov. 1. This includes over 1.22 lakh deaths and 7.49 lakh patients who have recovered.
