IPL 2020: Sangakkara expresses concern about Delhi Capitals' campaign

Dubai, Oct 31 (UNI) Former Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara has expressed concerns about Delhi Capitals' campaign in the ongoing IPL 2020, saying that the team's batting hasn’t really looked as strong as it should’ve.
Delhi Capitals were leading the points table after 9 games with 7 wins and just two losses, as both batting and bowling department did well. However, things have gone a little downhill in the last few matches. They have lost their last 3 games and looked susceptible while batting.
While picking four team who would make it to the playoffs, Sangakkara was not sure about Delhi Capitals' chances.
''Well, Mumbai is quite secure, I think RCB will make it there (play-offs) as well.
I am suddenly worried about Delhi Capitals. In the last few games, they're batting hasn’t really looked as strong as it should’ve. It's highly dependent on their top order, none of the other batsmen have got the quick runs," Sangakkara said on Star Sports' show Cricket Live.
''So, they could be the fourth one, but I would not be too sure. I would say, Kings XI Punjab will make it there as well. And the fourth one, I am just struggling to make a concrete prediction on the fourth one. Sorry! , he added.
Meanwhile, Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar , didn't have any hesitation in picking DC as one of his three teams that will make it to the playoffs.
''My three teams, which will qualify are, DC, RCB and Mumbai Indians. These are the three that will qualify. And I think it is going to be pretty close between RR and Kings XI, these are the two teams, out of which you will get the fourth team,'' Gavaskar said.
