New Delhi, Oct 31 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday while wishing people on Valmiki Jayanti said that his ideal ideas based on social harmony, equality and justice will always inspire the countrymen.
Mr Modi tweeted, "Many best wishes to all of you on Valmiki Jayanti. His ideal ideas based on social harmony, equality and justice will always inspire the countrymen."
According to the Hindu Lunar calendar, Valmiki Jayanti is celebrated on the full moon day in Shukla paksha of the Ashwin month.
Maharishi Valmiki was popularly known for writing the epic Ramayana, which consisted of 24,000 shlokas and seven cantos. He was the first of the Sanskrit scriptures.
